Her first public debut was in Nuremberg at the "Penthouse-Club"
in autumn 1998.
Several gigs followed soon, mainly in Thuringia.
In addition to DJing MELANIE FLUG produced own tracks, mainly
with broken beats and dark sounds.
Her first track "The Humanmachine" was released on convex: "Points
of Matter 2" in 1999.
Jana Clemen of convex productions made it possible.
Subsequent to the publication Jana Clemen started a convex-tour
through Germany on which
MELANIE FLUG took part at following locations:
Ultraschall (Munich), Kantine (Erfurt), Prora-Camp (Rügen) and
Werk1 (Leipzig).
1998/99 MELANIE FLUG was also a part of the booking-ageny "unruhigenaechte",
an agency for local and popular DJs as well as Liveacts based
in Ilmenau.
"unruhigenaechte" arranged a lot of great and successful events
with known artists like
Cristian Vogel, DJ-Hell, Eva Cazal.
